Every suit should be tailored according to the body, style, occasion, and continuously upgraded over time. The wardrobe should consists of suits that are of necessary pieces, correct in fabric weights and attractive to any possibilities.

The white shirt is essential to the dinner suit and compliments all other colours of suit. The white shirt can be worn with any colour tie and shoe. The collar of the white speaks the suits; usually a wing tip will be accessorised with a bow tie for dinner suit or any formal wear. It’s your first buy when looking for a suit… a better fit when tailored.

The traditional single breasted suit is tailored in many variations. Usually worn with a notch lapel, the single breasted cut can wear with a one, two, three or even four buttons.

A more casual or sporty look is styled with a peak lapel worn with one or two buttons. There are other variations the peak lapel but only designed specific to physical assessment and personal style.

The lapel can vary from a width of one (1) to four (4½) inches with\without a button hole.

The six button blazer was inspired by the navy – usually blue with gold metal buttons. Today, the blazer has been transformed into a modern classic wear. The double breasted blazer can be designed in a classic pinstripe cloth or a plain light or heavy weight wool based on the season.

The double breasted blazer is usually designed with a peak lapel. The navy inspired blazer is designed with a semi-peak lapel, but could be peak with length 3 inches and more.

Coats come in two main categories – heavy and formal (Chesterfields, Mantles) or light and informal (Covert, Crombie, Dust Coats). Piacenza is known for its wide selection of heavy weights – Alashan Cashmere, Vicuna, Baby Llama, Baby Camelhair, virgin wool.

We also use fabrics from the Drapers Salt and Pepper bunch.
